This may or may not have been our water filter for the past year and a half. Given, we did change the actual filter in February. That was when the little installation man told us that the whole thing had been broken for the past year we'd been using it. Oops.
Turns out, the little thing on the left is supposed to be a UV light to aid in the filtering process, I guess. Welp, turns out we are more hardcore than we thought. :)
The last picture shows our new filter! Yay! We got it after our friend went back to America. After he left, we got his filter AND his furniture-- langniappe!
Yay for clean water!

I can't remember the last time we changed our filter in 216 1/2.....Maybe a year?

oh dear... what a shock to realize that what you think you're getting is purified and then realize it was all just a "wanna be" situation... there are a couple of metaphors in there, i'm sure! thanks for your posts, karis! You're awesome.
